Saw a video of Tom Waits reading The Laughing Heart by Charles Bukowski on a friend’s Facebook wall… I’d had 2 emails in the previous 24 hours which immediately sprang to mind when I read it – because they’d echoed some of the themes. When that happens, I assume there’s a message there for me and I like to check in with myself… see that I’m really getting it. I kinda think I already have, but since I’ve not given it much thought yet, and it’s a very recent message, then it’s either a message for someone else or I haven’t really got it at all! Still with me? Good! 
Then you’ll understand too then, why I feel the need to blog ‘em all together while the threads weave together in my heart-brain.
So starting with the first message… a Note from The Universe by Mike Dooley

don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is a light somewhere.
it may not be much light but
it beats the darkness.

the gods will offer you chances.
know them.
take them.

and the more often you learn to do it,

Any thoughts? Surely, I am fully alive… I can feel the gods/devas/angels (delete as appropriate) high-fiving and boom-booming our shared successes, their little cosmic jokes, the clang of the pennies dropping… they’re like maverick aunts and uncles and they are utterly gleeful when I rise to another challenge or pass yet another ‘test’ with grace and joy and flying colours. I like to please them. Because we are all one… and so it’s always in my own highest interest. And I’ve come so very far in the last 6 months. It’s amazing…
So, what am I missing then? Or was this one for you?
